I picked up this piece at a local flea market about a year ago; it just happens to be documented on the same page as the scent bottle I posted last night in the book Die Eisch-Huette, by Katharina Eisch (see last photo scan). Signed Eisch '89 within the ground and polished pontil.
This motif (winged elephant) is a stylization of the Eisch logo, using the handle of the cup to form the elephant's trunk. This is also part of the "Poesie in Glas" (Poetry in Glass) series.
