I inherited this 4 string banjo recently from a family relative. It apparently was my grandfathers and he used to play it back in either the late 1910's or early 1920's. I cannot find a name of the maker on here to obtain any insurance information for this family heirloom. I've been researching this for so long and am at a wits end. Could you possibly be of some assistance? It has all of its original parts and coverings.
Why don't you take it to a local music store, and ask for assistance. Perhaps they have someone they can recommend who is an expert on banjos, to either appraise it, or give you some information & history. If you have a traditional music store (where they sell banjos, mandolins, and other traditional instruments- not just guitars and drums), that would be best. Do you live in the US?
