I'm trying to learn more about the history of this vase. It is 9 inches tall and bears the Murano Glass-Italy stamp. The base is a beautiful swirl of glass covered in gold. On one side of the middle is a Star of David, on the other side is a Menorah. I haven't found another like it and would welcome any information about the history of this intriguing beauty. Is is possibly Bohemian or Czechoslovakian glass regardless of what's on the sticker? Perhaps a custom made piece? Thanks for any help you can lend me!

      Hi Shebacolle

This vase dates from around the 1950s and has been created in the TRE FUOCI or THREE FIRES style where the heavy 22 or 24 carat gold is coated then fired, coated then fired, coated then fired, hence the term "three fires". The heavy venetian twist stem is a typical feature from glass of this period with an ever so delicate hand painted white enamel motif on a deep rich ruby red body. A lovely piece which would have originally come in a pair know as BUD vases
