Can anyone solve who JW was? This is what I have to date, JW was the actual artist who did the painting (the other marking is a stencil)...but there are no complete listings for all the artists who worked there, sorry....it could well be John Wood, who was employed for a brief time in the family business...but it could also be a host of others with similar initials. The number is the production run code for the hand painting process....you may have a first run master. Best, Will
