In keeping with my recent trend toward smaller items for display, presenting this early shipping case address tag. It shows a straight sided bottle, which I believe dates it to pre-1916. This is my second case tag, New Albany joins Bogalusa. They share similar characteristics side-by-side, but this one appears not to have been fully converted, as it has no grommet. A cool little item which really cost just a little spare change. I'm finding the old smalls almost as much fun as the larger pieces (almost! :)
Hope everybody has a good weekend.
Dave
Seems like your recent trend is pre 1916 items, once again its really cool to see it advertising the straight sided bottle.
Thanks Trev. These cost a lot less than the big'uns!
Sweet! Great finds Dave!
Thanks Perry. Trying to stay inside where it's warm, instead of outside on the cold patio! :)
Very nice addition to the smalls collection Dave, how are you going to display all your tiny treasures?
Thanks Bernie. I've got my eye on a cherry curio display top table, trying to get seller down to a reasonable number. Right now I have the small paper items under glass of a little end table handed down to us from my wife's grandparents. It looks good, but just not enough room and I can't put anything that isn't flat under there. I've seen how some of the 8 show their smalls off, so I'm trying to follow that good example.
Nice tag Dave. Can't wait to see your curio display!
