The pictured Hampden watch was found near a trash dump and I would like any information available regarding when it was made, any value, and contact for repair/restoration. It states Champion 2520986 and Canton, Ohio on back of watch works.
Please list the numbers on the movement.Looks like 3520986.Very unclear photo.
On the movement it states Champion 2520986 and shows Canton, Ohio. It also shows Safety Pinion. I do not know about the "lever set". I am guessing that it is set by the wind stem though it seems to be wound too tight. Also, in the inside of the back cover underneath the words Illinois W. C. Co. Elgin Sterling are the numbers 2200856. Thanks for replying and hope this helps.
1908,Size 18,7 jewels,lever set,unajusted. According to this site.

You can go there and type in the SN 2520986
A low grade watch,but a great find,and a lovely dial.
Thank you jason, sometimes i'm too short and sweet.
By the position of the photo its hard to see the lever.Hope its still there.
Thanks so much for all the great information. One last question - where can I go on line to find an approximate value for this watch. I am doing this research for a friend who actually found the watch and he is quite interested in selling it but I have no idea of a value. The case is sterling but other than that do not have a clue on value.
