Hello - I purchased this second hand and know nothing of its history. It is 16inches wide, reverse-painted glass. I'd love to know more about it if anyone can help! Thanks!

This appears to be a Pairpoint Puffy shade. The shape is called a Bonnet shade. Pairpoint hanging shades are very rare but , China has been reproducing these shades and are getting better at it. The painting on yours appears to be superior. Pairpoint signed their shades with one of four stamps on the inside rim. It would say 1) "The Pairpoint Corporation"; 2) Patented July 9, 1907; 3) Patent Pending; 4) Patent Applied For.
16" is a great size, I have only seen 14" and 12" hangers. Please see if you can take a picture of the entire shade hanging and the rest of the hanging hardware. If you look at my items, you will see a table lamp by Pairpoint.
As far as value, rarity and condition is important. You might want to see if you can contact Ed and Sheila Malakoff at the Pairpoint Lamp Museum in River Edge, New Jersey. Hope this info helps.
Thanks JohannB! I appreciate your comments and will see if I can track down the Malakoff's. I've changed a couple of the pictures to show more of the hardware, etc. but don't have a pic of it actually installed and hanging.
Niester, thank you for uploading more photos. At second look, your shade appears to be one of the ones I mentioned that are from China. The colors are too bright and the hardware is of recent manufacture. Of course, I don't know everything, but that is my educated opinion. I really wish that I could tell you that I think it is authentic. It is a very good quality piece though.
