If you wanted to know exactly when this item was made you would have to find the patent, which sometimes can be difficult. But I would say that it would have been made after 1955 as it also has a copyright symbol after the Trifari mark. As in 1955 the Patent Laws were changed and Trifari and other jewelry companies were able to copyright thier designs. So between 1955 and 1960's I think, hope this helps...

Thanks for the info i cannot find anymore markings on the brotch.
Its all new to me but just starting to collect costume jewellery as a hobbie and got this in a jewellery box i bought from an auction and was told that some pieces can be worth abit and would like to find out if i came across a treasure or not silly i know but its all part of the fun.
Again thank you i have noted the dates for future reference.

I have a book with the different kinds of marks and when they were made, it says that "Trifari with crown and copyright symbol in rectangle" is a modern mark (90's and newer). They are still in production today.
