    I don't know much about this lamp, found it at a thrift store but the bottom lights up and the same company in the 1950's made lamp tv's that have the same metal pattern. I do like it though..

      My parents had a pair of these lamps years ago. They bought them new - they were married in 1955. I loved them and was very sad when my mom sold them to "upgrade" the decor. I can tell you that the lampshade you have is not original. The original lampshade is more of a drum shape, with a heavy parchment-like "fabric" and was laced to the frame on the top and bottom with dark brown or black (plastic?) laces. I see that the post is 3 years old. I hope you still have the lamp and are enjoying it.
