1920s Vintage dresser with 4 drawers. Made of solid wood.Drawers are connected "dovetailed,as they were made in theses times.
During the times most Wood dressers were made with a opening used to close and open with a "Skeleton Key'.
This dresser belonged to my "GrandMother from the 1920s-1930s,It was originally from the state of her birth, Ga. My mother was given the dresser, when my grandmother passed, given to her by her Father,at that time my "mom' was 8 years old, and she kept in our home from the 1930s -2005, then was given to me, which now I have in my apt.
It's now third generation treasure,,,,,:) The dresser is STILL in good shade, I use it for my personal items.
Wood funiture was made to withstand a lot of wear and tear, made to last and last..From the 1920s til 2012..Gee, that's over 92 years...
I will keep and contiue to use and then it will be given to my "Great-Grand daughter, (who's 8 mos old.)
Oh my gosh!! I just happened to spot your dresser, and had to drop you this note, to say, that I too, have a very similar one! Even our drawer pulls, look the same.
I'm very new, to this community, and will try to get a photo of my dresser, uploaded soon.
Wow, thank you, for posting this, as I had no idea, how old, my piece was. At least now, I have a clue! : )
