I grew up with this TV and would love any info on it. It is a 1953 or 1954 RCT Victor "The Carroll." I would like any information that anyone has on this make and model.
They sure knew how to make a television set back then because this set works with a good set of rabbit ears, antenna or wire hanger.
thanks
Cindy
I think you mean 'RCA-Victor'...
Yes, sorry about the typo.
Where did you get "The Carroll" from, is there a label on the back with a model number?
My parents purchased it new in 1953 or 1954. Here is the info on the back of the TV;
There is a medal tag that says ... 17 TC 240
Serial No ... 2519
Amps ... 1.6
Also a sticker that says ...
IUL
CT170504
"Elite Television" LA3-0777
I am not sure what the numbers on the plate or stickers mean, just wanted to provide all of the info on the back of the set.
thanks
Cindy
I grew up with the same model, til we got the color tv around 1964. Oh how technolgy has changed.
