found in LA thrift store - 2 vintage ballerina pictures hand painted - a small bit of water damage- hand written on back in pen..."Pas De Avatre " and on the other "Cappelia". I would like to know who painted them and their worth.
The first one is "after" the oil painting "The Pas de Quatre" ("The Celebrated") by Carlotta Edwards, size is 24 x 29 inches.

Carlotta Edwards' painting is "after" a work by Alfred Edward Chalon RA, titled "Pas de Quatre"owned by the Victoria & Albert Museum.

The second picture is probably after the ballet "Coppélia."

Edwards didn't do a painting after "Coppelia."
Enjoy them!
