This striking rose bowl has deep cut flowers and leaves.

The color goes from a dark green at the top to a clear bottom.

The base shows a ground and polished pontil mark along with fine scratching of years of use.

My initial reaction to the piece was that it was relatively modern, but after seeing all of the signs of quality and age; I now believe that it has some age to it.

Any thoughts on attributions or age would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks.

    Scott

Harrach or Moser? I've read from the glass-hounds that there is a rule of thumb: clear at the bottom Moser, Harrach at the top. Perhaps one of the experts will verify this. The intaglio work of both companies is similar. Check out the Harrach project:

Thanks Marty and vetraio. I appreciate the link-- I like mine a little more with the larger green area.

I was lucky and picked this up for $50!

Moser... These are shown in Baldwin's Moser Artistic Glass , 2nd edition... Sometimes found with enameled vines and applied "berries". I have one in purple. Well spent indeed... Congrats!
