These single charm bracelets are gaining popularity. I found this at an antique store in the junk bin. I have seen this piece in a book unsure of which one though. A nice piece for any collection, be it jewelry or elephants. Thanks for looking.
The elephant and the jaguar are my favorite animals. I used to have a license plate for an elephant, made of wood. It was from Thailand, and the trees that were cut by different companies were carried by elephants. So, the elephants had a "license plate" about 2'x18", that had a picture of an elephant carved in the wood, but the colors told which company the elephant belonged to. On the back of the plaque was a game board of some kind...I guess if the monsoons stopped the elephant train, they would while away the time by playing the game on the back of the license plate. I gave it to a very dear friend in France, where I had lived and couldn't take it off the wall, that was a tough one to give away!!
I adore charm bracelets and so glad they came back into popularity ! Very nice Vintage :-) love it
Absolutely love the charm bracelet, this mixed metal with red, blue and white accents is wonderful. Mich
I would love to see what an elephant license plate looks like! If you have any pictures of it please post, sounds cool. Thanks for your comments Mich & Mani:)
I wish I had photos...imagine a flat piece of wood with an elephant walking, carved on the face. Then the colors were wild. Very bright, as they needed to be for recognition. That is truly one of my great "generosity"regrets!!! Mich
Total Fab!!!!!!!!!!!
Always loved this bracelet by Napier. The elephant is too adorable!
Your charm bracelet was first introduced in the 1960s and continued to be made until the early 1970s. The matching pin is also adorable and I feature both of them in my book. Mich ... This charm is white metal, cast, and surmounted with a die-stamped filigree finding.
This piece also has a matching pin. :)
