Another clock abandoned by heirs and left at home I purchased. Bruce99 and clockman I don't mean to lean on yall but I don't even know where to start on this one. The only marks I can find looks like R oman numerals II I then an arrow pointing upward and again I II. The top also looks to be offset to the left. Very pretty face and the case appears to have been stripped and refinished. Any help or comments are appreciated. It ticks and chimes. Thanks and enjoy.

Hi, I've not seen that trademark before. Hopefully someone has, and can help you out. If another collector hasn't Identified it for you, I'll see if I can find it in the NAWCC Library's reference book on the matter: Lexikon der Deutschen uhrenindustrie 1850-1980 by Schmid, Hans-Heinrich. I won't be there anytime soon though. Probably another month or two.

Wait a minute...doh!...that's not a trademark. That's a scale used to help put the clock in beat. The clock should be hung with the pendulum aligned with the arrow so that when the clock is started up you can make sure that the pendulum swings equally left to right of the arrow. That's probably not going to help much with the I.D. I'm going to need more to go on. Have you looked at the movement plates? Can you use a flash to get more detail of the top of the case?

Have not tried to look yet, but will or take it to have a clock person remove the face. Thanks for the info you provided. Will let you know

Well, maybe another collector will recognize the dial, or the case. I don't collect wall clocks or I would have recognized the beat scale sooner...I should have anyway!

If not, and you come across anything else please post it. I'll follow the via e-mail. Regards
