Ginger beer was originally called switchel. Any old Vermont farmer drank it every haying season. It has been around for ages. You always gave a guest or traveler a glass of switchel. When they started adding ginger they called it ginger beer. No alcohol in it but they still called it ginger beer.

If researching ginger beer doesn't get you results try switchel makers. It originated in Europe. I think Switzerland.

      A good thirst quencher.
