The pictured "Hand Crank / Chain Stitch" sewing machines, a Singer Model 24-30 (1904) and a Willcox & Gibbs (1896) were two examples of "Turn of the Century" craftmansship. While these two examples were designated for "the home" many other variations were available i.e., double needle, straw hat, lace trim, under garment assembly etc...for use in the clothing/ garment industry with their elastic "chain stitch". They are welcome additions to our collection.
