    This trench art paperweight/ desk item is modeled after the German WW1 M17 Helmet.

    The shell brass helmet sits on a rifle cartride with a decorative base.

    This form is a popular trench art subject-- I have seen several M17 trench art lighters.

      If it weren't for the exaggerated notches flanking the visor and the obvious lugs, I think the "artist" did a better good job representing an American M1! Very nice!
