My first sports related piece, a 1932 indicator showing event times/locations for The Games of the Xth Olympiad, Los Angeles, California, USA. A neat feature also shows previous gold medal winners from the '28 Amsterdam games. Recognized one name right off the bat, Mr. Johnny Weissmuller, Tarzan himself, and subject of the very popular '34 Coca-Cola tray (posing in his swimsuit along with another bathing beauty, the actress Maureen O'Sullivan). This paper piece is in excellent condition, and I think just an overall cool item with multiple tie-ins to Coca-Cola history. Wanted to share it!

Hope everybody has a nice weekend.

    Dave

Thanks Trev! You know it, the blotters were purchased based on TGBWC recommendations. I try to return the favor once in awhile, but he's usually way out in front of me.

You mention Weissmuller & Tarzan. This comes under the heading of interesting but useless information. The originals were filmed on the Rio Dolce in Guatemala. I took a sloop up the river in the '80's and it certainly looked the part.

I love any interesting and useless info, and I did not know those movies were shot in Guatamala. That must have been one heck of a river jungle trip. Thanks for your comment. Always good to see you stop by.

Isn't Florida part of Guatamala? Ooh-ooh-aah-aah!
