I found this drum table/end table/nightstand? It is stamped Thomasville Chair Company on bottom (can't make out the date 19xx) also model number T-68-6550-11. It has a leather top and two doors that open and one drawer at the top, with metal lion heads/pull ring on drawer. I was wondering if anyone has ever seen this piece, what kind of wood is it? What year is it from? Is this rare or valuable? Ill post more pics in another post. Its a very interesting piece. Thanks chrisclause@gmail.com

First off, let me say I'm NOT an expert on modern furniture, or any kind of furniture. I just know enough to be dangerous! But this piece looks a lot like a table we had in our home in the 1960s. We used it as an end table. My dad kept his record collection in it, and it's in our garage today. I believe it was purchased in the early '60s. Not sure if it's Thomasville like yours, but it's a similar style, decoration, type and color of wood. My guess is that it is not particularly valuable or collectible. If someone else out there has additional information that indicates something different, that would be great. This type of furniture from the '60s and '70s may have a resurgence in popularity at some future time, but I don't think that time is here yet!

What stefdesign said, I have worked around furniture and think she's right on track. It is a nice piece but not worth a lot of money unless someone REALLY wants it.
