These two little cuties were purchased at Lyndoch, South Australia by my mum about 30 years ago.
The phone number on the brochure that came with them (illustrated) is no longer functioning for the business (Carter-Wood Dolls) and the lady who answered the phone does not know of them, although mine was not the only call she had received over the last 15 years or so. The SA tourism site still carries the ad for the business, and the claim that all dolls are made on site.
There are 8 dolls illustrated on the brochure, in pairs as shown. The pair I have are beautifully made with cleverly jointed limbs, although they are not described as puppets.
Does anyone know anything about this business or the dolls?

I know this was posted 7 years ago but these were made by my Uncle. He handmade them and my Grandmother made all the clothing. My Uncle passed away 3 years ago and sold the entire collection of dolls he had made years ago. The display was at Hahndorf for sometime but it is years since it was there.
