Huge Copper Tray or Dish that I inherited from a favorite auntie.
It's a lovely old thing and I would like to know more about it's origin and history (silly me, I never asked her).
She lived in San Francisco, most of her life but traveled the world during her adult years (1920's to 2000), had an export company dealing with South America and the countries bordering the Pacific (including many Islands). She also lived in Panama for several years. I personally remember this piece as far back as the early 1950's if that's any help.
It's about 16 inches across, and very hand wrought looking and rustic. I have a large handled pot as well that may or may not go with it, but I can add photos of that as well if it helps ID this. The pot doesn't look like it's for cooking, more like it's for logs next to the fireplace.
Would love any input you have. Thanks, Shell
P.S. I am guessing that it's an Arts&Crafts piece. My art degree should be good for something, right? ; )
