Here is a grouping of P-38 airplanes that have been assembled from salvaged bullets and shells.
This was a very popular Pacific Theater form based on surviving examples.
Interestingly, these show variances in size, attachment technique and base shell.

Love these and this is my favorite plane model.
Thanks Mich-- they come in many different sizes. My favorites are the smaller P-38s.
