This large piece of US Post Office History has beveled glass windows and larger package cubicles at bottom. Came out of the 49er town Grass Valley, CA Post Office c.1890. Box is dovetailed and only one keyhole is missing. Some red painted numerals faintly still there. Great patina to the brass. Approx 35" tall by 27" wide.
I'd love to have one of these in my house. I have no idea what I'd do with it functionality wise, but still! Very nice.
i retired from the postal service and alot of small offices still use these today
This one is for sale at thelongacreflea dot com. I know I am not supposed to sell here but since you said that you would want one I thought I would connect. Thanks for the comments.
