      HI Angel

This is Bohemian Amberina Glass dating from around the 1950s or so. The dead giveaway is the gilded ring around the foot and the softly painted silver overlay design. Not very rare as this would have been part of a decanting set which the Czechs produced in large quantities during this time mainly for the tourist trade

      Hi Dean
Thank you, this is a site I found one like mine but in blue. It say it is rare I do not know if that is true or not.

      HI Angel

The Venetians did produce a similar style of vase but the way in which they coated their pieces was much heavier with gold and they never used the gilded ring around the foot. This was only ever used by the Czechs. I hate to burst the bubble of those who are enthusiastic about this piece, it is indeed beautiful but not rare. About the only thing that may be a littel unusual is the Amberina coloration but that's about it

Thanks again it is still a very pretty piece nice to have the back ground on it I am not an art person but this was given to me and I wanted to know more about it.
      I appreciate your help.

      Hi Angel

You are more than welcome - any time. Just remember that the gold bands or gilding on Czech pieces are either found around the body, foot rim or lip of piece and the gilding is only very light, nowhere near as heavy as Murano TRE FUOCI pieces
