Identification of Elephant Salt and Pepper Shakers

I am hoping someone can identify if these cute little elephants are a vintage pair of Shawnee salt and pepper shakers? They look to me as though they might well be. Would appreciate any opinions as to who they were manufactured by! Thanks.
