This scooter is blowing my mind. There are a lot of obvious visible things that date the Vespa (headlight, spare tire, front shock, kickstand, etc.) But really want to understand much deeper into this what I think is a one of a kind. Why the military green? The engine cover is like none I've seen. Why the exposed bolts all over the fender covers? I can sit and explain what I have figured out with my research, but really need someone who can tell me exactly what it is. All I can do is guess. My guess is a military prototype 1948-1949. Really have no idea but would love to really know what it is exactly.

That's what I was thinking I had already read and looked at the timeline. It only has 59.5 miles on it. I still want to know more.

It looks like a modified 150 from the mid 60s. Scooters from Asia are commonly made into Faro Bassos or Fenderlights/Handlebar bikes and imported to the States. MP6s have vertical vents in the front of the cowl and horizontal vents in the rear of the cowl. All the 1945 MP6 prototypes are in museums and are priceless... $500K to $1M if you could convince someone to sell it from the museum!
