I purchased this in Missouri on our first vacation 1962. We took the kids on a camping trip and rained about 4 inches that night. We left the tent the next morn driving around town in a 52 chev with 2 toned front fenders. A pretty sight we spotted a Rock Shop and the owner seemed annoyed we were there. The phone was on the front porch and when I asked the price he said "son it would take $10 for me to take it off the wall". My reply I'll get my screw driver and give you a hand. His jaw dropped. This poor boy had $10. The rest is history. A Kellogg Pat. Nov 1901. It still rings when cranked and would give you a good shock when You touched the wrong stuff. Would be good for fishing for catfish. Thanks for looking.
Fishin' catfish, HA HA I'd forgotten all about that !
A nice original 1907 oak Kellogg wall telephone. the price was right. The 1901 date was when Kellogg Co. had patented the transmitter.
