I really don't know what to call this but a Pyrex pie pan was inside of it.
I took a close up picture of the handle for clues.

This glass with three silver legs are attached. However, I have no idea what it is. It's thick like crystal.

I guess some type of tray since the pie dish was on the inside.

Appreciate any information on this unusual item.

Bellin68 thanks for looking. I appreciate comments and it was just suggested that I go hire someone. This community has been quite helpful so far, in fact I've found more information in just listening to comments on different items.

I am not a professional and I respect this knowledge coming towards me.
And it is truly a labor of love

Thank you. I was born in the 50's so I truly remember Pyrex!
Do you that think that glass with the silver on it goes with the serving dish?

Thank you for your comments. I see what you mean by it being separate from the server. They were in a box together and so I thought.
