I've emailed several archaeologists. Either I have a killer find, or a bong made by a talented hippie in the 70's

This is an incredible piece of what I think to be Guatemalan or Honduran. They both cover a lot of ground so I'm not that smart casting such a wide net. I love anything Mayan, Aztec, Inca etc. You very well may have better than a "killer find". I'm very jealous. I'm fairly sure that there was no hippie involved unless he smuggled a half a key inside the piece on his way back from "south of the border". Congrats, Kerry

I love these type of finds.

I'm just courious how you found acheologist's to email about your find. I need to find one and have no idea how to go about it.

Google universities with archaeology programs is the easiest way. Professors almost always have their emails listed. If they can't help you they usually put you in contact with someone that can.

Sounds great. I will do that.

Did you ever find out what this was made for and by whom? it looks either Mayan or Aztec to me.
