I spotted this ring watch in a booth at a traveling flea market that comes to town once a month. I had my eye on it for probably about a year before I decided to bite the bullet and buy it. I'm glad I did, too because I've wanted a gold ring watch since I was a child.

Unfortunately, I don't really know much about the history behind the ring or even when it was made. I'm also trying to figure out whether or not it's a wind-up, as I'm not really familiar with exactly how those work. If anyone is familiar with Wittnauer ring watches, I'd love to learn more about them.

these things are cool! i just picked one up myself only its silver and the name is Astin, i don't know much about them but the one i have winds, works good to, the one thing i have learned about some of these old watches is some of them just need a little jump start ,take the back of and just touch that little wheel after winding and there off! but i am nooo expert by any means and could be doing a watch no no

Fred, you should post a pic of yours if you haven't already! I love seeing all the different ones people find. :)

I figured out that mine is definitely a wind-up, and I've finally got the hang of just how far to wind it. I've never tried taking the back off, though.
