I found this blond haired porcelain bisque doll over Christmas in a rural thrift store, and she was in immaculate condition and had this really sweet almost kewpie doll 1940s face. I was guessing 1970's because of the "little house on the prairie" brown calico dress, but a friend emailed and said she had one she inherited from her mother awhile back, and so thought the doll was at least 60 years old. There are no marks to indicate who made the doll. She also mentioned she had seen the doll on an episode of Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman, so maybe the doll was a museum replica doll, or museum edition doll. We'd both like to know what to call our dolls, who made them and how old they are, and any story on them. Thanks!

We refer to her a waldo doll . She is very common to find and has no value she was sold from 70's to 80's . Here is a link that will tell you all about her
Sorry I could not say she was worth more but they are everywhere and no one is buying them :-(

We have the exact doll with her original hat. Unfortunately, when I researched her a few months ago, thinking she was an antique, I found the site telling her history. Poor baby. Maybe, she could be worth something due to her Waldo reputation ! (grin)

That's great! I love the information. I'll pass it along to Bridget as well. We don't care if they're worth anything. They're just pretty.

      Glad this helped marabelle :-)
I rather doubt rkmon she will ever have any real value as there are way to many but of coarse there are collectors for everything so who know's :-)
