These kinds of things are beyond my ability to buy- usually they go to a handful of collectors with infinitely deep pockets. I like that sometimes those lucky human beings either loan these pieces (or better yet) pass on and generously donate them to museums to share with the world.

    1. This incredible piece is made by Loetz and designed by Franz Hoffstotter and exhibited in the Paris world exposition in the turn of the 20th century. These types of works were shown to the world at the Viennese pavilion for applied arts. I marvel that this single piece has probably been woooed and aaaaahed by millions.

    2. The second (and no less incredible) Loetz platter is made with uranium glass using a controlled bubble technique and wrapped with an application of aventurine glass. The almost invisible flower is made with melusin glass threads similar to titania glass. I do not know the designer but a rose colored vase has been sold at auction in Germany as Michael Powolny and dates around 1914. (I personally lean towards artists working under Prochaska)

    3. These killer pieces are from a museum in Vienna called the MAK. I do not have individual designers but they are made by loetz before 1920. If anyone knows the designers please let me know. They are stunning iridescent works of art in unknown phenomen gre patterns similar to Tiffany.

    4. This last Loetz is in a tango glass design with red rim application and a titania flower that is simply stunning against the black base. What more can I say other than "thanks for sharing guys- you can't take it with you..."

You're welcome! I must say that the MAK wasn't very happy when I snapped this photo! But i am glad I could share it with you.
