This is my first pocket watch, my father bought it for me for fifty dollars at a antiques store in Washington. I just recently lost the second hand and broke the balance fiddling with it I know what to never do again now. The odd thing is the face witch I have rued when I was trying, and succeed to fix the mounting posts. dose anyone have any input on the face or maybe a balance. I broke the bottom pin that rides in the jewel. The movement numbers are " 3842402 " the case numbers are " 3532211 " the case is ornate with a art style that is very similar to leather work in a lot of ways. The 14 karat case is worn down to the brass on the font and back in near the edges and on the out side edges, the gold is also worn to brass. I have the crystal but its broken into three pieces. If anyone can help me to get the parts and pieces that would be much appreciated. I love working on pocket watches they are so beautiful. One day I hope to be able to work on them proficiently.

I recently got a balance wheel fixed on a watch.The first thing i did was google watch shops in my area.I found one 30 mins. away.I called them and asked if they fix watches on site( make sure they repair on site),they did.After arriving at the shop,and saw they did have someone to fix it on site I was confident I found the right place.Well they fixed my watch,and cleaned it as I waited for 20$ then they asked me if it was for sale,lol.Giving mine was a simple fix,but with a little time and research I hope you can find a place to fix you'r watch.
Oh,and if you let Jason know where you live i'm sure he can point you to the right shop.

Thank you for serving our country, I can do the fix my self I just need the balance, when I was adjusting the balance one of the small pin ends that ride in the jewel broke, I have tried soldering it back, gluing. but to no avail. I also need a new crystal and a second hand. the crystal was broke when I got it. and the second hand popped off when it fell breaking the face mounts Ive seance fixed the mount and haven't found the hand in the carpet :(
