    this is an amazing set of books..... and inside is a very powerful message from a father to a son.

Volume 1, Early Recollections of California 1846-1848 to Meridian Campaign 1864 . Volumn 2, Atlanta Campaign to Conclusion - Military Lassons of the War. The Military Map Showing the Marches of the United States Forces Under Sherman's Command . This being the best work on Sherman in a first hand account. A very scarce two volume set of books on one of the most toughest and military genius of that century. Condition : Very Good +

      Very neat! I think the personal inscription from 1875 adds a nice touch.

      I tried reading the inscription with an old, paltry, stern but loving voice... and it was like being back in the day when fathers talked to sons like that. I am into theater, directing and acting too... - Michael Angelo
