I got this today and it is definitely art deco. It is very heavy with a white marble vase. It seems to be unique. I can't find anything else like it and I was wondering if any other folks had seen something like this.
    Thanks, Sarah

Art Nouveau???? Maybe. I'm trying to find out exactly what this piece is. I love it.

I was just going to say it looks art nouveau to me when I saw your comment!

I wonder if someone put the marble base on later. Almost looks like some kind of light fixture that's upside down!

It is unusual but it all looks period nothing new could have been a resourceful person.

You are missing two pieces..........there would have been a plate or 'basket' that was hanging from the end of each arm mimicking a balance scale (see pointer at top?) i would expect that they would have looked a lot like the center basket....strictly for decorative use..There is a similar item (not identical) in Esty at this link>>>>>

We looked it over and it is indeed a lamp but we are missing something. Maybe it is two items combined together.
