The Parker 75 was introduced in 1963, the 75th anniversary of the company and this particular model arrived a year later. A particularly unique version of this pen was a limited edition, with the body made from silver obtained from a Spanish Galleon that had sunk off the coast of Florida. The pen illustrated has the grading scale on the end of the section from the earlier versions, but has both the dished tassie or clip screw that was introduced around 1970. It also has the wider cap band.
In an era of declining Fountain Pen sales, the Parker 75 continued to grow in popularity and was produced on a wide variety of finishes. However it was discontinued in 1994 when it was replace by the Sonnet.
