I would love to know what kind of clock this is and it's value.
This was a find at an estate sale.
This clock keeps great time and beautifully handpainted.
It sounds like a dinner bell on the half hour and hour.
I know nothing about this clock but fell in love with it.

Thanks for any information anyone can give me.

These types of clocks are popularly known as "Wag-On-The-Wall" clocks. Tall case, or Grandfather Clocks evolved from early versions of these clocks.

I don't collect them, and I've never seen this model before. I know that auction prices range somewhere around $200 plus or minus $50. Some rare, French models with ornate pendulums sell for much more.

You might also look at the movement to see if there is a maker or manufacturer's mark.

If it is not readily visible from the back or sides, you might have to remove the hands and clock face to see the movement.

Sorry I couldn't provide more specific information than that. Hopefully we have a Wag-On-The-Wall collector in the community?

      Regards

Bruce99 Thanks for responding so quickly. I found a clock similiar on line as a reproduction of a handpainted black forrest by romback and haas. The pendulum is also handpainted and matches the corner flowers. It is beautiful and I thought a great find. I will look inside. Thanks for the info. I love the sounds of clocks.

It is a Dutch clock from the WUBA brand. It is not very old. I think the 1970's.
Above the dial is a typically Dutch farm scene.

Mostly they used German movements like Hermle, Junghans or Kieninger.
