I dug this plate up out of the yard of an old house we remodeled in Texas. The house used to be a rectory.

Not majolica; this is Japanese, most likely from the 1930s to 1950s era. The numbers are a pattern/stock number, and are meant to emulate earlier European porcelain.
Thank you so much. I have searched for a while for info on this. It is a beautiful piece that I dearly love. It is in great condition except for the chip on the back, which does not affect the front appearance. I look at it every day in my bathroom.
