My wife has one of these Winnie the Pig Cookie Jars that has been passed down through her family. I've done some research online, and I was shocked that it's only worth about $65 retail. I would have thought it to be worth much more, given its age. Unless what I've been seeing are re-productions. I think it's Majolica, it was made by Shamrock Pottery.

Winnie was made by Shawnee Pottery. I haven't checked the prices lately, but she used to be worth about $150 or more depending on decoration. This one is pretty plain.

my mom has one identical to the one shown here - what's your guestimate on that one?

Like the previous said, its Shawnee Pottery and its ranges from $100-$200

It's my ex-wife's, I don't thinks she'd even consider selling it for less than $200, but I'll let her know.
      Thanks for the info,

With regards to the Winnie pig cookie jar...I don't have the cookie jar, however, I do have the matching pair of salt and pepper shakers. Any idea as to their value? I recall my Mother use to display the pair along w/ the jar in her kitchen when I was a child. We were from Northern Kentucky. She claimed that the set was the first real gift that she purchased for her Mother upon landing her first paying job. Fond Memories.
