    Man from Lisbon...
    I find this photo very strange…

    The man looks like he was caught by the camera closing his eyes which is normal now a days, but in that time the exposure was too long to capture him with closed eyes isn’t that right?
    Sometimes i think it is a post mortem photograph but that wasn’t very common in Portugal.
    Does anyone has a good clue?

      possibly blind. not unusual for the blind to have portraits made. later in the 1900s photos were combined with pleas for sympathy or patronage.
