I found this artifact in a estate sale, the old rock hunter past away, rest in piece sir. He hunted relics for over 69 years, This item was found in Wayne county, Illinois the two stone axe were found with the stone. my opinion museum piece, Archaic period very rare fine, The relic was work on all six sides Size 12 1/2 by 12 1/2 6 5/8 tall about 50 - 60 lbs to heavy to pack with them this was a small campsite. nice old patina. I was told the old man used this as a planter on the front porch. hellow I purchase some very rare artifacts that day from is fines. This items was not shared with the public, I will do that for him in his memory. If you can help with this item be great maybe a value, I have not seen one. Also 2 miles down the road there is a rock shelter Called Devils Prop the Indian lethograph are carved in the stone located in Mt.vernon, Illinois stone axe were found there years ago when it was farmed now the state owns the land down the road the largest dogwood tree in the world it is in the book.
