I bought this at a resale/antique shop. They had purchased it from an antique shop that was closing. Any information would be appreciated. It stands about 9 1/2" tall with the chimney. Thought maybe it was a railroad lamp with the cut out window on the side of the chimney???

I appreciate your information. Looking up information on these type of stoves, now I know that the window is mica. I knew it wasnt plastic, but did not know what kind of material it was. Now I need to look up information for old hair curling/straightener stoves. Thanks again.

It is a chicken brooder heater...keeps the baby chicks warm in the winter. The info I have found on mine says that the style - very similar to yours - is turn of the century.

Thanks so much for the information. Is there a website I can go to for more information?
