Grand-mother used this item!
Seems to me she was using it for gravy!
But is that it?
Old gravy boat wood handle,
which looks old!
How old?
Any value in $?

Is it silver? It could have hall marks. I have two modern plated ones that I use for heating brandy at Christmas. I call them brandy pots or brandy warmers. Google 'brandy warmer' and you will see some different versions.
Thanks Vet!
I could n ot find silver marks.
Sure look like silver or plated as so.
The handle is very old and maybe hand made.
Therefor silver marks were changed?
Brandy? Wow, good idea!
What about as a gravy boat?
Why not?
They were always meant to be used.
Yes, indeed as I remember that as usage from great grand-parents; especially great-grand-maman.
Lickely her husband secretly used it too for brandy; or it was her who did secretly?
How old maybe?
Early twentieth century but could well be older. The form is Georgian but they revived the style regularly over the last century or two.
Thanks Vet!
Yes, could be older as that handle is very old!
Georgian? King George?
