I was lucky enough to pick this fabulous! large (75cm x 63cm) 'Hans Figura' (thank you too_much_stuff) oil painting up a few years ago, I actually thought it was a print at the time until I got it home and cleaned up the glass and frame and realized it was an original.....
I love it!...hope you do too...:-)
Thank you for stopping!...:-)
The artist is HANS FIGURA .
You are right the painting is really nice. I especially like the brushwork and the color palette.
I wish you good luck.
It looks so! obvious now doesn't it!?.... Thank you!... too_much_stuff.... Yes! I really love this painting especially the water frozen in time as it fell from the tap. I googled Hans Figura and loads of stuff popped up, it was wonderful! I discovered that it may be earlier than I first thought, but nothing on oil paintings he seems to be more of a sketch artist. Still hunting though! thank you once again.
Beautiful painting! Love it! miKKo
Thank you miKKoChristmas11 for your kind comment.

Hi inky, your painting shows a german wintersport-city GARMISCH-PARTENKIRCHEN. There where the olympic winter games in Germany 1936. This view you can find on a webside with this Link: http://www.ansichtskartenhandel.at/ansichtskarten-deutschland/bayern/landkreis-garmisch-partenkirchen/98801-garmisch-partenkirchen-fruehlingstrasse/a-100023230/

Lilliflunew....I have had this painting for years and for years I never knew who the artist was but! I knew one day I would… I never gave up... but! in my wildest dreams I never thought I would find out where it was, never mind an exact photo showing the just about the exact same scene!.. For your time and knowledge… I thank you very much!...:-)
Great scene, always make it a point to watch the men's and women's world cup downhill races every year at Garmisch....second only to the Hahnenkamm race in Kitzbuhel, Austria. More mountain scenes, please. :-)
Great use of light and shadow. Winter scenes are my favorite paintings.
