I have had this item for over 45 years. I cannot find out anything about it as far as how common it is or a value. I have not spoken with anyone that knew anything about it or has even seen one. I understand many years ago a older man that worked at Mobil years ago said that these were test items marketed in the early 40's with no metal because of War, but failed and were not made. 7 inches high ans 3 1/2 arround. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Pop; You are the first in many years to respond and I thank you greatly. This can/container has no dates or markings. You are seeing photos of the top and bottom. As I am limited on only 4 photos, I can try and reshoot and replace. I will tell you this. It was full when I got this item and have had it sitting on a shelf in my building with other cans. This one is now empty, never been opened, no drainage anywhere and has not left my eyes since day one. Maybe this is something special. I appreciate you responding, hopefully I can now maybe make some headway with this.
