A Champion Spark Plug Service Kit, used to store emergency spark plugs and any other items you may need in a breakdown. It is beat up, but I like it and hopefully will find one in better condition down the road. Not sure of the age, but I am guessing the 1940s or 1950s.
Wow Jameyrd!
I like that!
Father being an expert mechanic always asked for Champion
and said that no other co was better.
Now we have China/Japan/etc. made crap spark plugs that stop you on the road!
Is Champion still existing?
From the plug on the box more like '20s-'30s ,nice!
And yes they are still in business, benking
Where are they situated?
Owned by Federal-mogal somewhere here in the US maybe Ohio?Sorry Jameyrd for overrunning your post!
But who are the real owners?
Hopefully they are not made in Japan, China or India???
No problem gargoylecollector, they are surely not here in Toledo. The abandoned factory is about 5 miles from my house, kind of tucked away off the road. I drove by it recently and it was very sad to see a huge, vacant, rundown area. That's why it is nice to be old enough to remember better times...
Thanks for the compliment Benking!
Thanks to officialfuel, BELLIN68 and stonesfan1 as well!
One must come back to create such Champion jobs in Canada and in the USA, again!!!
Not the Obama crap!
By spreading the news to create real jobs here, not like in China that Obama does con people with?
Agreed!
Well the better news is that Champion was bought by Cooper Industries based in Mount Vernon, Ohio in 1989. They are now owned by Federal-Mogul Corporation based in Southfield, Michigan. Still wish they were here in Toledo!
Oh!
Are they still producing?
Or controlled to die?
OH BOY!
