I found this at the Salvation Army a while ago. I keep all my art glass way up high on my kitchen cabinets & forgot about it. The vase is unsigned & has really beautiful coloring but.......Why the white spew? At first I thought it was something added by owner, like when a kid paints things with fingernail polish. But it seems to be made of glass & applied when made. You can see in the last pic some has broke. Anyone have a similar item or know anything about this one? Thanks in advance.
ITS....ALIVE !!!! LOL. That is definitely a different type vase. I am trying to figure out if something is trying to get in or out ! You definitely post some awesome items. I am not a big "pottery, vase" fan , but I definitely like this ! T.G.
That's what I thought at first sp, but its glass.
Reminds me of an sea anemone I thinks it's lovely!
This is certainly a remarkable piece! I have never seen anything like it. I love the view from the back - where you can't see the applied 'silly string' glass strands. Instead, one sees a graceful and noble form, and a dappled, dreamy opalescent ground. I find it is very beautiful from the rear, and very unique from the string-side/front. miKKo
Thanks for all the nice comments, I guess it really doesn't matter who made it. I have it displayed from the back view as I find the colors amazingly beautiful when the sun hits it. Thanks again everyone:)
Whup, you're drippin there
