Ok, so I have this guild guitar I bought back in 91. I was told at the time its waS A 1972 factory custom. I can not verify this story. Trying to decipher guild serial numbers with info on the internet says this is a 1980(?) Guild M80-D, however according to the info there were NO M80's built that year. It has a brass nut, reverse polarity switch, brass trim around the pickups & brass bridge that must weigh over a pound. I have never seen another one like this.
Does anyone know anything more than I do? Does anyone have a clue what it might be worth? It does have to be the best playing & best sounding guitar I have ever played.
M80s were produced in 1980! (There were no in 1979 however). Last serial number produced in 1980 was HA100003, last S/N in 1981 was HA100229, last S/N in 1982 was HA100339 and last S/N in 1983 was HA100350.
If it has no two letters before the number it would be from the 70ties. What is your S/N ? Usually they go for about $1000 on ebay I would say.
Stefano thanks for responding. Ha1000002. I have never seen another with a bridge like this one.
