While this isn't a picture of an actual sign, the signage is a major part of it. This was my grandparents' general store and gas station in Pennsylvania. Notice the large, Atlantic Refining Company sign hanging off the side of the building. What I wouldn't give for one of those signs. In the middle of the second floor is a Goodyear sign. And how do you like those gas pumps. Would love to have one of the glass tops off of those as well. The building still stands. It became the post office for many years. It's now an apartment building.
What a great picture!

Thanks. It kills me knowing that all of the stuff in the picture probably just got taken to the dump one day. My mother recently gave me a nice, metal, ice cream sign that hung in the store. She remembered it hanging on the wall to cover a hole.
That was nice of her to give you that sign!

Wow, very cool!
Thanks for the love, folks! I've added a current picture of how it is now. This was taken when I went up for Thanksgiving. The original lightning rods are still on the roof.
